Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the software applications, websites, and services provided by Worth Doing ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Simon-Pierre Boucher. By downloading, installing, or using any Worth Doing application or service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our applications, websites, or services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our applications or services.

2. Description of Services

Worth Doing provides native macOS desktop applications distributed as DMG installers via GitHub Releases. All applications are:

  • Built with Swift and SwiftUI
  • Code-signed with Apple Developer ID
  • Notarized by Apple
  • Open source under the MIT License (unless otherwise stated)

3. License

Unless otherwise specified, our applications are distributed under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the software, subject to the conditions of the MIT License included with each application.

4. User Responsibilities

When using our applications, you agree to:

  • Use the software in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws
  • Not use the software for any unlawful, harmful, or malicious purpose
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any proprietary components
  • Not redistribute modified versions under the Worth Doing brand name without permission
  • Provide your own API keys where required (e.g., OpenRouter, Anthropic) and comply with those providers' terms

5. Third-Party Services

Some applications integrate with third-party APIs and services, including but not limited to:

  • OpenRouter (AI model access)
  • Anthropic (Claude API)
  • Ollama (local inference)
  • Serper, Firecrawl, Exa, Tavily (search APIs)
  • Hugging Face (model downloads)

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. Worth Doing is not responsible for third-party service availability, pricing, or data handling.

6. Intellectual Property

The Worth Doing name, logo, brand assets, and application designs are the intellectual property of Simon-Pierre Boucher. While the source code may be open source, the brand identity may not be used without written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that our applications will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.

8. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL WORTH DOING, ITS OWNER, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF OUR SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

9. Data and Privacy

Our applications are designed with a local-first philosophy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information on data collection and handling.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our applications after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to our services at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, Province of Quebec, without regard to conflict of law principles.
